Her creative journey began at Nottingham Trent University where she studied a BA (Hons) in Textile Design, specialising in Printed Textiles. After graduating she went onto work for major high street retailers supplying textile prints for fashion. Wanting to expand her portfolio, Gurinder began working for one of the leading UK greetings card companies where she  developed both her design and management skills.

After the birth of her second child Gurinder longed to be able to balance her desire to be able to design, as well as enjoying time with her family. Gurinder’s passion for design prompted an idea to develop a contemporary range of eastern inspired greeting cards. She strongly felt there was a gap in the current market, with little to no high street representation of cards catering for key ethnic groups.

Eastern Print Studio offers stunning design, quality product, with a variety of Eastern influenced captions, covering key cultural events in Punjabi, Urdu, Hindi, Arabic & English. The range includes Islamic, Sikh and Hindu religious/cultural events, milestones, celebrations, birthdays and weddings.
Gurinder also launched a unique lol humour range with a desi (eastern) twist. All of the cards are ethically produced and proudly designed and printed in the U.K.

“Cards are just one way to keep in touch as well as to express emotions such as love, congratulations, condolences and gratitude. Although we live in a world run by digital communication, a card sent through the post can mean a lot to both the sender and the recipient. “

Gurinder hopes this is the start of a exciting new journey and is keen to expand the offering of paper products both in the U.K and Internationally!
